The Echoes of a Laugh

A laugh once bright, so light and free,

Still dances soft in memory.

Like ripples on a tranquil lake,

Its joy remains, though hearts may ache.

Through empty halls, it lingers near,

A ghost of mirth, both loud and clear.

Though time may fade and shadows fall,

The echo answers, warming all.
