The Moment I Believed
At the edge of sorrow a single pulse became dawn
It split the stubborn dark and simply called it dawn
In that thin hush I opened; old fear was unweaved
My hands reached and found the light they had always believed
A quiet river turned and gently led me to start
It taught the scattered compass how to steady the heart
Each lost, small promise mended, folding into part
And courage slipped its careful map back to the start
Light threaded through the cracks and multiplied into light
Every shadow bowed and learned the shape of patient light
I breathed a tiny answer, simple, steady, true
The moment kept its promise — then I believed it true
