Beef Kebabs with Yogurt Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Skewers (wooden or metal)
For the Yogurt Sauce
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried dill)
- Salt, to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Add the beef cubes to the bowl and toss until they are well coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes (or up to overnight for maximum flavor).
- While the beef is marinating, prepare the yogurt sauce. In a small bowl, mix together the yogurt, minced garlic, lemon juice, dill, and salt. Adjust seasoning to taste and set aside.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread the marinated beef onto the skewers, spacing them evenly.
- Grill the kebabs for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the beef is cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Serve the beef kebabs with the yogurt sauce on the side, garnished with additional dill if desired.
Enjoy!
